The news article that I decided to assess is the article about the Pennsylvania woman getting mauled by her pet bear. I think this is news worthy because it once again points out the obvious that you shouldn’t have wild animals as your pets because of the number of people that have been killed by them. I personally think this woman was out of her mind. She had a pet black bear, a bengal tiger, and an African lion. I mean come on lady it was only a matter of time before you were going to get attacked/killed. I think this article is important because a lot of people think they can take care of whatever wild animal because they have a “special” bond with them however, they are WILD animals which means that they are supposed to be in the wild. There is a difference in trying to help wild animals and having them live in your house.
